arn't you glad Halloween is over?

Herbert was all alone. Halloween was his favorite time of year, and he didn’t have anyone to share it with him. His dad ran away with the circus when he was very little. His sister got married last year, and she didn’t have time for her little brother. Plus, they were visiting his parents this year. He had planned a wonderful Halloween with his mom. They were going to get ready, and have fun all evening long.
That was until she met Enrico last week. They started hanging out a lot and he passed her when he came in from school. She was on her way out, and left him some candy for the front porch.
As he set the candy out and slid under the stairs he was glad it was Halloween. Glad that kids love candy. Glad that Americans are getting more obese every year. Even though he had no one to share his day with him, it was still a good day.
“Yes, it is a good day to be a monster,” he thought to himself.
