Background: As a child, Von Kluer learned she could manipulate the way light reflects off objects. As she grew older and experimented with her talent, she learned that changing the way light reflects she could completely remove light so people can’t see anything. She could overwhelm their eyes. Her first run in with the law occurred when she convinced her ex-boyfriend that his car was about to drive off a cliff, when in fact she steered him into oncoming traffic.
The government attempted to harness her power in overseas covert operations, but she proved to mentally unstable to perform her duties. Operative Oppenhiem was the last person to see her alive somewhere in the Black Forest of what use to be Eastern Germany.
